Fox Peak is located in the Two Thumbs range near Fairlie and is 195 km from Christchurch. There are wonderful views of the coast and mountains from the hill and wide open, uncrowded, faces to enjoy. Plus, there is the opportunity for wonderful trecking. The slopes at Fox Peak appeal to all levels especially the cruising intermediates. The North and South basins provide more adventure. The lifts are rope tows. Chains may be required on the access road. The Fox Peak season runs from late June to September. One lodge accommodates 40 and there is a canteen. Ski instruction is available at Fox Peak but ski hire is in Fairlie.
