Sundown Mountain Skigebiet Guide

Sundown Mountain in the United States (Iowa State) is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (4 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) but it only has 145 metres (475 feet) of vertical descent. Sundown Mountain has 55 acres of terrain over 21 trails with a total length of 25 kilometers (16 miles). Sundown Mountain is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 1 kilometers (0.6 miles) of cross country ski trails at Sundown Mountain. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. All of the trails at Sundown Mountain are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Chicago.
