Skied Madonna/Folgarida/ Marilleva for a week in mid March 2023. Amazing! I'm an expert skier, my wife is an intermediate. We stayed in the satellite town of Dimaro (lovely) in Val di Sole, as we're not keen on pure ski resort towns. We got there by train from Trento. From our accommodation it was a very easy, free bus or train to very good gondolas in either Folgarida or Daolasa, which whisk you straight up to 2000m. All 4 ski areas of Marilleva, Folgarida, Madonna & Pinzolo are then properly linked by ski lifts, with no requirement to walk or catch buses (unlike, say, Chamonix, or some other Dolomiti resorts). Scenery absolutely breathtaking. Good on-mountain eateries. Some of the prettiest & longest runs I've ever done. All this despite no decent snowfall for about 2 months, the piste management is first class. I would love to ski this in fresh snow, there must be a lot of 'inbounds off-piste'. Less lifts numerically than La Plagne/Les Arcs or Les Trois Vallees, which I've skied several times, but I think an even vaster terrain in these linked Italian beauties, due to intelligent placement of long, mainly newer, high speed lifts. Also skied Passo Tonale for a day on same lift pass, 9 to 11 km run down from top of glacier is something else. Will go back (hopefully 2024).
