La Rosière Skigebiet Guide

La Rosiere is a southernly resort on the boarder with Italy. This purpose built area links with La Thuile, in Italy, to give over 150km of pistes. There is a good mix of pistes at La Rosiere that should keep most happy, although experts may have to seek out runs in the trees around La Thuile if conditions permit. The nursery slopes at La Rosiere are excellent. The lift system is somewhat slow which can cause hold ups at the lifts. Off the slopes, La Rosiere is modern but, surprisingly, attractive. Nightlife is more subdued than other Alpine resorts but there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
