Cerro Castor Skigebiet Guide

Cerro Castor is the most modern and newest ski resort in Argentina. It has 12 ski lifts (5 quadruple chair lifts, 3 teleski and 4 magic carpets). The ski area has 1 terrain park. 1 ski cross circuit, 2 moguls courses and 32 slopes/pistes. Cerro Cartor has 8 restaurants. It also has artificial snow (snow-making) on 6 slopes: EL Condor, Gaviota Austral, Albatros, Petrel, Las Rocas, Avutarda and Halcon Peregrino. Cerro Castor can boast a very impressive 772 metres (2533 feet) of vertical descent. It is only really suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The closest airport is at Ushuaia and the transfer time is only 0.5 hours. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in Cerro Castor.
