First time, in USA, in 2010 and stayed at Copper for 7 days with my adult son. Had a great experience (even though I injured a knee after catching an edge on a lift). Food is great, service overall was very good, and is well placed to do factory outlets and visit Dillon and Silverthorne for days out. Nightlife slow - but was exhausted from the slopes; only intermediate skier but soooo good there! As with most of the Colorado experience, people are real friendly (especially if you are an Aussie) so take the time to talk on the lifts.
And if you're from Australia get used to no slow queues on lifts. But also the locals don't use chair restraint bars. Also, if it's your first time in the Rocky Mtns go hot tubing under the night sky, fantastic. The high elevation dry cold means you can enjoy it.
